What Influences Your Success - and How To Make It Better: Environment

Your environment includes where you live, where you work, things you watch on TV, listen to on the radio, read in newspapers, in books and online. It also includes the influences or subtle things you see around you, like the positioning of furniture and the traffic around town. If you live in a quiet town with not many people you feel differently than if you lived in a big metropolitan area. One is not better than the other - it's all about your personal preferences. Some love the quiet of nature and others are bored by lack of activity and things to do. Some are overwhelmed by the big city and stimulations and choices (even where to eat!) while others would not have it any other way. Some enjoy living in smaller places without the burden of "things" to clean and take care of while others enjoy sprawling homes and big lawns.

The environment can have a massive impact on your life. If things aren't going the way you want, think about changing your environment. What are you missing - quiet and alone time or contact with others? Would having a pet improve your feelings of isolation or reduce your stress level from too much activity? How can you give yourself the break that you need? Do you prefer being in a large corporation, a small business or being self-employed?

If you feel like you are stuck where you are and cannot make major relocations, think about furniture placement and making your personal space more enjoyable. There are many great books on Fung Shui that show you dramatic shifts in energy without spending any money. Just creating a new place - or taking a week-end trip - can massively change the way you see and perceive things. It can change what you think is possible and give you all the energy you need to succeed.
